WHO WE ARE
The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Our members provide electricity for more than 250 million Americans and operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. As a whole, the electric power industry supports more than 7 million jobs in communities across the United States.
EEI employees are required to work in office Monday-Thursday, and have the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Through policy engagement, strategic advocacy, and direct collaboration with DoD and federal agencies, the Director promotes and defends the authorities, partnerships, and infrastructure investments that enable member companies to deliver secure, reliable energy to military installations and federal facilities. This role works directly with the SVP for Industry Operations and the Managing Director for Security and Resilience who serve as EEI’s primary liaisons between investor-owned electric companies and senior representatives of the U.S. defense and national security communities, ensuring the electric power sector is recognized as an indispensable partner in U.S. defense readiness, grid resilience, and critical infrastructure protection.
