Manager, Cyber & Infrastructure Security (Planning and Convening Meeting Logistics)

The Manager, Cyber & Infrastructure Security will serve as a resource for EEI member companies and inform industry policy development through work in support of EEI subject matter expert committees. This position will manage day-to-day activities related to physical and cybersecurity policy programs, including member coordination, meeting planning and facilitation, policy advocacy, and outreach to key stakeholders.

This position will report to the Sr. Director, Cyber and Infrastructure Security, and will work closely with other members of EEI’s Security and Preparedness team as well as other departments and individuals on projects related to grid security and resilience.

This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MANAGER, CYBER & INFRASTRUCTURE SECURITY

  • Plan, convene, and support meetings and conferences, including administrative and meeting logistics, and facilitation of leading practice discussions.
  • Coordinate and communicate with member companies’ security subject matter experts to collaborate in support of committee work and program development.
  • Manage long-term program development and facilitate member company recruitment, onboarding, training, and program engagement.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain technical program documents as well as briefing materials for member companies in support of program outreach and informational activities.
  • Support efforts to promote EEI’s role in the national dialogue on infrastructure security issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or advance degree preferred; Professional certifications (e.g. PMP, GIAC) preferred.
  • At least five years of professional experience, including progressively complex collaborative and program development experience. Critical infrastructure, security policy, and/or program management work experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others in individual and group settings.
  • Exceptional project and process management skills, and ability to take ownership over projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective, professional relationships with strong customer service, conflict management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Meeting coordination and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties and emergent work in a professional, timely manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of energy industry and security policy issues.

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this role begins at $100,000.00 - $150,000.00. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of the base salary.
