The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) is the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies. Our members provide electricity for more than 220 million Americans and operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. As a whole, the electric power industry supports more than 7 million jobs in communities across the United States. In addition to our U.S. members, EEI has more than 65 international electric companies, with operations in more than 90 countries, as International Members, and hundreds of industry suppliers and related organizations as Associate Members.
This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Government Relations. One of the primary responsibilities of the role is to advance EEI's policy priorities with Congress, the Administration, and other stakeholder groups on environmental issues, including those relating to the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, EEI's Carbon Free Technology Initiative, Endangered Species Act, National Environmental Policy Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Superfund, Toxic Substances Control Act, and vegetation management, as well as coal, natural gas, and hydropower issues.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is set at $100,000 - $150,000 annually. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is between 5%-10% of annual base salary, based on performance.
